My obsession with all things Fall continues as I die again and again over chunky knits, penny loafer wedges, black velvet, cool breezes, and long drapey skirts.  First, I must make it through the rest of August in the smoldering Los Angeles heat, and I feel it has only just begun... nonetheless I am endlessly stopping at my favorite hidden gem thrift shops, sifting through piles of velvet, chiffon and sequined loveliness, in the hopes that Autumn is not too far away.

wearing thrifted dresses, topshop denim jacket, old school coach backpack "borrowed" from my mom, nastygal velvet blazer.

Always adore visits to New York.  There is a magical feel about the city.  I spent a quick three days of splendid madness with family and friends that included; midnight snacks of pizza and gelato upon arrival, delish Brazilian food in soho, hello kitty band aids, pink lemonade stands, the Brooklyn flea market, rooftop bloody mary's, discovering the loveliness of my new favorite vintage shop, performance art at moma, burgers in the park, topshop, learning that grocery stores do not carry wine or any other alcohol in Manhattan, walkingwalkingwalking until my feet literally couldn't take another step, having a homemade "family" dinner our last evening that included the best dessert you can have- cookies and mint chip ice cream.
